ShadowSight Online...
Online, I am ShadowSight.
Offline, I'm still ShadowSight, but most people call me something else, I'm human, and I don't wield cosmic powers or fly spaceships.
Though this site is about me, I'm not a big fan of parading myself in front of a global audience. If you know me in real life, you probably know me as ShadowSight as well. If you know me Online, you know me as ShadowSight and we'll leave it at that for the most part.
Some few folks have crossed the line from Pixelated Realities to Denser Realities and now know me in both. That pathway is always open.
However, I don't really want to make it easy for Psychos and Stalkers to track me down. Not that I feel that I'm important enough for that kind of... obsession, nor am I really that paranoid. The Net allows us some freedom from inhibitions by providing a layer of anonymity with reduced risk of personal rejection. If everyone who came here knew who and where I was I'd be loosing out on too much of that.
So - for Head Hunters, the résumé is online, but for identification information in the Real World, please email me.

ShadowSight has been my online handle since fall of 1992, when I first got into BBSes. I had used it previously in single player games, so when I had to pick a handle for the first BBS I signed up with, It was natural to go with what I knew.
BBSes eventually gave way to the internet, and I just kept on with being ShadowSight. When I started playing MMORPGs, the name of course came with me.
The first experience most people have with ShadowSight comes from those MMORPGs. The online persona of ShadowSight has grown over years of playing these games and in some ways, to some people, is perhaps more real than the person behind the keyboard.
Though I still play some MMORPGs, I spend much less time in them than I used to. Currently I'm playing City of Heroes and City of Villains, since I don't have the time for much else right now, and they're too fun to stop playing!
Here's the list of who I've been in which games:

Bane Sidhe
Bane Sidhe was one of the best guilds I have ever seen. A Guild of Family and friends, they existed for several years before finally disbanding. While branches sprung up in other MMORPGs, Bane Sidhe was primarily to be found in EverQuest on the Fennin Ro Server.
Arcane Phalanx
After the demise of Bane Sidhe, I (and several other former banshees) joined Arcane Phalanx. The two guilds were very similar in feel and make up, and it was an excellent new home for me.
The Deleterium
This is really just the World of Warcraft chapter of Arcane Phalanx, playing Horde side on Alleria.
The Conglomerate
The Conglomerate is an organization of six Supergroups/Villain Groups in the City of Heroes/Villains universe. The Hero groups are: Paragon Mutant Corp., Paragon Heroes, Inc., and Mayhem, Inc., while the Villain groups are: StrongArm Tactical, Inc., Cabal Enterprises, and Havoc Industries. The Conglomerate is modeled after a conglomeration of corporations, has players from all over the world, and is one of the most entertaining and supportive guilds/groups I've ever been a part of. If you play on Infinity and are looking for a home, check these groups out!
