I have a tale to tell...

Once Upon A Time...

A long time ago, one of the outlets of my writing was the plan of teaming up with some artist friends to make some comic books. These are my part of that endeavor. I have not yet re-written all of these to read as short stories rather than a script meant to be seen only by the artist, so some of the action may read a little... odd.

Mrlynn And Charisma
Charisma in City of Heroes

A story of an ancient Mage and a young superhero who meet by chance and are thrown together by fate. Magic, Mayhem, Mirth, and Madness, mixed with a little bit of Murder.

Helping the helpless and saving the innocent is standard fare, until it's time to save the world.

To the right is a screenshot of Charisma from the game City of Heroes. The character in game is based off of the Charisma from the stories, but with the way the game is structured she came out a bit more like a cross between Charisma and Tayariel.

Tayariel

The story of a thief who discovers that she holds an ancient artifact of vast power... and that she may be the only person capable of preserving life when the end of the world arrives right on schedule.

Tayariel was much more of a joint project than my other comics, and was co-created by myself and Megan Kolisch. Megan in particular was responsible for the character of Prelude.

City of Heroes / City of Villains

With the release of City of Villains, I've been getting more and more into this wonderful world created by Cryptic Studios. I've come up with a few stories for some of my characters there, so I figured I'd post them here.

It's a bit of an oddity trying to reconcile the Charisma from Mrlynn & Charisma with the City of Heroes Charisma, since the worlds are different and the in game character isn't a total match in terms of powers/abilities. There's really 2 possibilities:

  1. Mrlynn & Charisma takes place in an alternate dimension from the City of Heroes dimension, and the 2 versions of Charisma, while sharing similar pasts, powers, and associations, are in fact not the same person.
  2. After the events in the Mrlynn & Charisma series, Charisma moved to Paragon City and mutated slightly.
Overall, I lean more towards option 1, as this fits into the City of Heroes world quite snugly, and frees up the need to try and reconcile some of the differences. So, for now, when you read Mrlynn & Charisma and then read the City of Heroes stories involving Charisma, let's go with they're two different people.
